Call to Community: Support Portland State Faculty Now
Petition Them.com Gives "the Little Guys" a New Tool to Gather Support

Dear Readers of West By Northwest,
Using the strength of the Internet, we have posted our petition online at Petition Them.com. It is a great site to gather critical support quickly. Please sign this petition to show support for our union's struggle to get a living wage for Portland State University's adjunct faculty.
We need to collect 500 signatures by Monday (January 28th) to tell PSU its part-time faculty deserve a Livable Wage. Please show your support here:

Tell Portland State University's representatives that they must bargain in good faith. We have negotiated patiently for over 9 months and now been given an offer by the university that is lower than when we first began negotiating! This is an unfair and unacceptable labor practice.
Please forward this petition on to everyone you know who cares about higher education, especially in the Northwest. We need the support of professors, community leaders, concerned citizens, students, and everyone who wants a more fair and equitable economic structure at PSU.
