| Ed Kent and West By Northwest.org readers: Several points on the post from Tamin Ansary and your comments: He likens the Taliban to the Nazis and Osama Bin Laden to Hitler and he describes very graphically the difficulties in defeating them. The problem is well stated while no solution is suggested. If we had thought of Hitler, the Nazis and the Axis in those terms where would we be today? His point on the Afghani people is well taken but we must seek a responsible method to totally defeat Bin Laden and the Taliban as we did with Hitler and Tojo. With regard to your side bar as to the intelligence of our President, I assume you feel the same way about Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and Don Rumsfeld. Miles Bender |
